Hey everyone. im new to the NWSTP but not to sytys. i moved up the the northwest in june from colorado. my typhoon is currently sitting at my parents place in wyoming as a project for my dad who has been a body man for 30 years or so. it was immaculate and low mileage until some jackass decided to t-bone me at an intersection. got paid for the damages, but got laid off right after it happend so i had to use the money to live.
the mods ive done include 3" turbo back exhaust with header flanges where the cat should be for easy conversion to open downpipe. it has a flowmaster deltaflow 40 series muffler (which i love to sound of, but the flow sucks) also has a tial external WG with 10# spring and a MBC i never got to fully install. ive hotwired the IC pump, replaced the metal IC lines, cheap airfilter. did the cheap 2" drop but removed it because the ride sucked. had 18" Z06 wheels on it but got rid of em to pay bills. removed the roof rack and antenna. had a decent stereo system, but i removed it after parking it.
i also own a '79 L-82 corvette project (also at the parents house because they dont charge me to store them haha) that has a balanced and blueprinted 355 with eagle forged rods and pistons, stock forged 4-bolt crank, milled heads (9.9:1 C/R)weak ass 2.5" dual exhaust with C5 corvette mufflers, 4.11 gears, and had 100 shot of nitrous. thinking of going with a 2 stage 200 shot though. i have a air-gap intake i need to install on it and im currently shopping for a carb. we estimate 350hp at the crank before the nitrous. ive done lots of body work to it. updated the rear bumper to the 80-82 style added ground effects, L-88 hood, and painted it prowler orange. needs paint again because dad accidently bumped it with the trailer, and i want to get a new front bumper for it any way. some day its going to be a turbo vette.
my daily is a 98 S-10 ZQ8 that is awating shocks before it gets its 4/6 drop. it isnt fast, but its reliable.
im handy with a wrench, and love working on Sy-Tys so if anyone needs another set of hands for a project, ill be happy to help out.
